A safe place to learn and grow

Hope and opportunity. Four key characteristics define the essence of a Boys & Girls Club. All are critical in exerting positive impact on the life of a child:

Dedicated Youth Facility: The Boys & Girls

Club is a place - an actual neighborhood-based building - designed solely for youth programs and activities. Open Daily: The Club is open every day, after school and on weekends, when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets. Professional Staff: The Club has full-time, trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support. Available/Affordable to All Youth: Clubs reach all children and youth including those who cannot afford, or may lack access to, other community programs. Our clubhouse has many features including a state-of-the-art child care center, technology learning center, teen room, gamesroom, gymnasium and outdoor playground.

25 YEARS LATER, WE REMEMBER THROUGH SERVICE.

The 25th Anniversary of 9/11 is just 10 days away, and the Boys & Girls Club of Hawthorne is turning remembrance into meaningful service.

Through a 9/11 Day Service Grant in partnership with AmeriCorps, Club members are preparing a special service project to honor and support veterans at the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home.

Here’s how the project is coming together:

GIVE

There is still time to help! The community can donate needed items through our Amazon Wish List or directly to the Club. Every donation helps us fill care packages for local veterans.

LEARN

During the week of 9/11, Club members will learn about the events of September 11, gratitude, community, and the importance of serving others.

SERVE

Club members will assemble care packages and create thoughtful messages of appreciation for veterans.

DELIVER

Torch & Keystone Club members will personally deliver the care packages to veterans at the Paramus Veterans Memorial Home.

DONATE TODAY!

We are in the final days of collecting donations, and every contribution makes a difference.

Help our youth turn remembrance into action and show our veterans that their service is remembered and appreciated.

Looking for something fun, creative, and engaging for your child this fall? The Boys & Girls Club of Hawthorne has some awesome programs coming up! 💙

🎨 Craft Club | Grades 3rd–5th
Tuesdays, September 29–November 24 | 6:00–7:00 PM
Each week, members will try a new creative project, including paper mâché, tie-dye, painting, origami, beading, and more!

🎭 Drama Club | Grades 2nd–5th
September 28–November 16 | 6:15–7:15 PM
Join the cast and crew as we work toward a performance of The Wizard of Oz! ⭐
Cast nights are Mondays and Cast & Crew nights are Wednesdays.

🍪 No-Bake Baking Club | Grades K–2
Thursdays, October 1–November 19 | 6:15–7:15 PM
Get ready to mix, create, and taste delicious treats! No oven or stove required! 🧁

💰 Craft Club & No-Bake Baking Club are $70. Drama Club is $85.
