Color graph sorting using fruit loops π
Here we're learning math, fine motor skills, and cognitive development skills.
Sorting, classifying objects, counting, and number sense are all math domains.
The children are using their fingers to pincer grasp the fruit loops. They're developing their fine motor skills and strengthening their muscles that they'll need for writing, cutting, and buttoning.
As they organize by color noticing the relationship between the objects they're problem solving and reasoning. They use this logical thinking to explore and understand their environment developing that cognitive muscle.

When 1 chair isn't enough during story time...
YouTube can be a great resource for books that aren't on hand that are needed in a pinch.
The story tellers speak clearly and, more often than not, the book has a little bit of animation.
Most of the age appropriate books don't last any longer than 3-7 minutes. That seems to be our group's attention span threshold here.
Yay for technology!

This little guy right here... Took the time to fold this hand towel that was a straggler from the laundry.
Look at those folding skills!
He's going to be a pro in no time π
πππππ½π
Folding clothes is a wonderful Montessori practical life activity that helps in building independence, confidence, and fine motor skills.
It also develops childrenβs muscular control and provides a lesson in exactness and rigor, laying the foundation for later geometry work.
