St. Anthony School, Hawthorne

St. Anthony School, Hawthorne Information and updates concerning St. Anthony School and its wonderful students, teachers and admin St. Anthony.

Anthony School exists as an integral part of the parish of St. We are a Catholic school community that provides its students with roots and wings: Roots that are firmly planted Catholic truths and values; Wings that will take them into a future of academic success and spiritual growth. We provide a solid groundwork of educational excellence, along with an environment of respect and responsibility

that enables our students to meet the challenges of a changing world with intellectual, emotional, civic and spiritual conviction. We take Jesus as our model as we embrace our children’s individuality, developing their unique skills and personalities. We celebrate not only excellence, but also effort and achievement as we strive to create a legacy of “life learners” who will cultivate their own abilities. Basic skills are taught systematically according to the development of the students’ abilities. Student-centered lessons are the cornerstone of classroom instruction that focuses on developing critical thinkers. The staff, parents, parish leaders and students work together to create a reassuring family environment that nurtures the individual child while fostering a spirit of service and community awareness. Thus, our children are encouraged to live according to the Gospel principles through cooperation and mutual respect. Visit our website at:

💙 Today, our St. Anthony School family mourns the loss of someone who meant so much to our community.

Katie was more than a proud St. Anthony School graduate (class of ‘76) —she was the heart of our school family for many years. As the mother of four SAS alumni, she gave countless hours of her time and talents to make our school a better place. Whether serving as HSA President, organizing fundraisers, supporting our theatre program, serving on the school board, or simply showing up whenever she was needed, Katie always gave with a generous heart and a beautiful smile.

Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for St. Anthony School touched the lives of so many. Her legacy will continue to live on in the community she helped build.

Today, we lift up Brendon, Shannon, Brendon, Joe, and MaryKate in our prayers. May they find comfort in the love that surrounds them and strength in the beautiful memories they shared.

While our school family has lost someone truly special, we know Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Katie, thank you for everything you gave to St. Anthony School. You will forever be a part of our story💙🙏
