Two years after she was born, it became apparent that she was developmentally and physically disabled. Although doctors gave her only two years to live, Mychal's spirit was amazing. It's hard to believe that it has been 30 years since Mychal left this place. She is always on my mind and in my heart. Because of her Mychal's Learning Place was started and continues to grow, leaving a lasting impact. Mychal will never be forgotten. I love you Mykie.

Come grocery shopping with Bridgett! 🛒🍕
We’ve gotten some questions about where and how our students get ingredients for meal prep, and the answer is: a trip to Trader Joe’s!
A big goal of our program is giving students the tool to build skills needed for independence, and that includes meal planning and grocery shopping. Students come up with their own meals, practice finding items at the store, and then head back to Mychal’s to cook their lunch!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to our 24th Annual Luncheon, and to all of our amazing donors! We truly couldn’t do this without you. Because of your support, we are able to continue providing life skills training, job training, and employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities!
