✊📢 Student voices in action! This week, Mrs. Stern’s 5th grade class took their opinion writing beyond the classroom and into the real world with a peaceful protest in front of our school.
After researching issues they care deeply about, students crafted opinion pieces advocating for changes they believe would make a difference. From school and community concerns to issues impacting the world around them, each sign and message reflected the passion, critical thinking, and courage of our young changemakers.
We are so proud of these students for using their voices respectfully, thoughtfully, and purposefully to stand up for what matters to them. Learning doesn’t just happen at a desk—it happens when students see that their words have the power to inspire change. ❤️

What a fantastic way to wrap up an incredible school year! ☀️🎉
Our annual Field Day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and nonstop fun as students rotated through a variety of exciting games and activities. From classic favorites to new challenges, there was something for everyone to enjoy!
One of the highlights this year was our new mini hockey stations, where students had the opportunity to learn and play thanks to the Kings’ hockey program. 🏒 Students loved testing their skills and experiencing a new sport in such a fun way!
A huge thank you to our Bulldog PTA and everyone who volunteered their time to help make this day possible. Watching our students smile, cheer each other on, and make lasting memories was the perfect way to celebrate a wonderful year of learning and growth.
Here’s to an amazing summer, Bulldogs! ❤️ 🐾

Introducing Principal for the Day: Maksim! 🎉

Principal Maksim had an exciting day working with Principal Graves! He led the school assembly, visited classrooms, connected with staff, attended the 5th-grade team meeting, hosted dance parties, and took part in many other leadership activities. Thank you, Principal Maksim, for your enthusiasm, positive attitude, and outstanding leadership. You did an amazing job! 🐾❤️

Last week Miss Renee made good on her promise to be taped to the wall as a fundraiser goal reward! During our weekly Bulldog Assembly students, staff, and PTA members helped tape her to the MPR! This was a reward for our Bulldogs hitting a Turkey Trot fundraising goal in November! Thank Miss Renee for “sticking” to your word! 😆🐾

This weekend, Aviation‘s Cotsen cohort graduated from their two year CORE fellowship that focused on the area of CGI Math. 📓 Though this part of their journey is coming to a close, they are all very excited to forge a new path during a special Post Fellowship Year (PFY) with the Cotsen Foundation in the area of Reading.📚 This is Aviation’s second PFY and it comes with some major bragging rights as they are the first school in Cotsen history to do this! Congratulations to Fellows, Amanda Steen, Cat Ruvalcaba, Haley Orzeck, Marissa Larson, Monica Romero, and Morgan Roy. Congrats also to Mentor, Trisha Maano and Principal, Summer Graves for helping to lead the charge! 🎉👩🏻‍🎓 🐾
