🏫🎒📚Wallenpaupack Area High School was proud to host the Pike County Children and Youth Backpack & School Supply Distribution on August 27!

This wonderful community event helped local students and families prepare for a successful start to the new school year with backpacks and much-needed school supplies.

A special thank you goes out to Wallenpaupack Area High School Special Education teacher Dr. Jess Baton and Director of Special Education Dr. Tanya Carelle for helping organize this awesome event, as well as to Pike County Children and Youth and everyone who helped make the distribution possible.👏👏👏

🍎 Welcome to the WASD Family!

Wallenpaupack Area School District welcomed our newest staff members to New Teacher Orientation on Monday, August 31. New team members had the opportunity to meet with WASD administrators and staff, learn about district programs and initiatives, and participate in training sessions designed to support a successful start to the school year.

We are excited to have these talented educators and professionals join the WASD family and look forward to the positive impact they will make in our schools and community. Please join us in welcoming them to Wallenpaupack Area School District!

Class Lists Are Now Available!

The wait is over! Homeroom and class lists for the 2026-2027 school year have been posted and are now available on our website.

🗓️ The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Important reminders for parents, guardians, and families:
✅ Access codes for student and parent accounts have been mailed. Please save them for future use when creating Schoology and PowerSchool Parent Portal accounts. PowerSchool Access for parents and students is available at this time.

✅ Take a few minutes to review and update your contact information and communication preferences in the PowerSchool Parent Portal to ensure you receive important school notifications, emergency alerts, and district updates throughout the year.

✅ If you need assistance with access codes or updating your information, please contact your child's school office.

✅ Each building is hosting open house and orientation events. To see the event schedule for a specific building, please go to https://www.wallenpaupack.org and navigate to the building home page.

We're looking forward to welcoming our students back for another great year of learning, growth, and success. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we'll see you soon!

Members of the High School Football Team, along with parents, coaches, our Jr. Bucks and Jr. Cheer families, and members of our administration rolled up their sleeves and worked together to give our stadium some TLC! 🙌🧹

A huge THANK YOU to Sherwin-Williams for helping us out with fresh paint for the press box, and to Vinny's Original Brooklyn Bagels for keeping everyone fueled and ready to work all morning! 🎨🥯

To our WNIS family: Mark your calendars for the North Intermediate School Open House! We can't wait to see you on September 2nd!

Our staff has been hard at work putting a little extra sparkle into our hallways and classrooms this summer, and we are excited to offer you the opportunity to check things out! Open House is a great opportunity to meet your teachers, greet your classmates, learn about classroom expectations, and get excited for what is certain to be an awesome school year.

🕛5:00 pm - Welcome 3rd grade and all students NEW to the North Intermediate:
This time is specifically for our brand-new students and families to receive a special introduction to WNIS. Join us for a warm welcome!

🕐5:15 pm - Welcome to our returning WNIS students in grades 4 and 5! Students should report directly to their assigned homerooms. Please note that homeroom letters will be mailed home very soon. Homeroom listings will also be available on the school website starting on August 23rd.

🕒6:30 pm - Open House concludes. We hope this experience helps everyone feel ready and excited for our first day of school on September 8th!
