Students in Mrs. Ray’s room created their own number lines for
their understanding of addition. Students begin by drawing a number line and labeling the numbers in order. They then use their number lines to represent addition problems by starting at the first number and making jumps to the right to add the second number and then students presented their lines with an explanation of their addition fact.

Mrs. Ray’s class reviewing for their reading knowledge test by working in groups matching vocabulary definitions and sorting characteristics of fairy tales and tall tales.

Mrs.Owens and Mrs.Powers’s class have been learning different nursery rhymes in CKLA. Today was “Jack Be Nimble”.
We pretended to jump over a “candlestick”, and then later on got to build our own edible candlestick!! Learning is so fun🕯️♥️

Mrs. Bentley’s class finished up math by doing a solve around the room using their subitizing skills by looking at a card and knowing what number it is without having to count it! 📋✏️

It’s been a great start to the year in Ms. Sangster and Ms. Jones class! We’ve been learning about some different things including habitats and made bird nests out of fun materials. We will be writing about this next week. Students were amazed to watch a live video of a bird building a nest. We also made a fun snack and used our math skills to measure ingredients !

Mrs. Sanders and Mrs. Lester’s class had a great day. They learned about sequencing,measuring, mixing, and making their own personal pizza for lunch.

Mrs. Friar and Mrs. Blaha's class had a fun day learning about vertical, horizontal and curved lines that we will use when writing our letters. We also wore our favorite colors and made colorful rainbows to end our Kindergarten color days!
