Hawkins Elementary is seeking parents, community members, and local business representatives to serve on our Campus Improvement Team.

This team provides valuable perspectives and feedback as we review campus goals, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies to strengthen student achievement and the overall school experience.

The Roarin’ Soarin’ Blue Hawk Band competed this morning at the UIL marching contest. Back at campus, their siblings took time out of recess to watch them march. Go Hawks! 💙🎶🤍

Happy National Principals Month to our two campus leaders, Kendal Kirk and Cesily Peeples. Our principals work behind the scenes and in the halls, classrooms, offices, and events to keep things running smoothly and to support our students and staff along the way.

⚖️ Weighing in on learning with Mrs. Garrigus! 📚✨

Students put their math skills to work exploring objects that weigh about an ounce, less than an ounce, about a pound, and more than a pound! Hands-on learning is a great way to make measurement concepts stick!

And just to be clear… we will NOT be practicing measuring tons. 🤣😂 We’ll save that one for another day! 🐘
