What a great day to be a Hawkins FFA member! We served up 80 pizzas to our FFA members and had the incredible opportunity to welcome several Texas FFA State Officers to our campus including our Area VI State Officer Gunnar Rodgers, Area V State Officer Austin Garza and Area IX State Officer Logan Tucker!!

Our students enjoyed visiting with the state officers, hearing their stories, and receiving some great words of encouragement about leadership, involvement, and making the most of their FFA experience.

We appreciate the Texas FFA State Officers taking the time to visit Hawkins and invest in our students. Having them on campus made an already great day even more special!

80 pizzas, Texas FFA State Officers, and a great group of students made for one HUGE day for Hawkins FFA! 🍕🌟

We’re excited about what’s ahead this year. The future is bright for Hawkins FFA!!!

We’ve had a great week at the Ag Teachers Conference in Corpus Christi TX! Our teachers have attended several workshops throughout the week to help better prepare us for the upcoming school year just around the corner! It was great to watch one of our own to cross the stage and receive his 20 year tenure plaque as well! Congratulations Mr Jordan on year 20 and many more to go! Ag Teachers Conference is one of the best PD conferences you can attend and it’s always great to learn new ideas and fellowship with teachers across the state so that we can better prepare our students for the future! We have a combined total of 70 years of experience between our Ag Teacher team and we aren’t slowing down yet!

Day 5- as we wrap up the week we attended the last session this morning to listen and watch the installation of the 2026-2027 Texas FFA State Officer Team!!

It was a special moment for one of our own teachers this morning as we watched Mr Smith get recognized on stage for his nomination of the Here By The Owl Award Area 6 winner!! Mr Smith is a former student and now teaching partner and we were glad we got to watch him cross the stage for this very deserving honor!! We are proud of him and so glad I get to watch him grow in this career just like we did as a former Hawkins FFA member!!

Our students and staff had a great week in Cowtown! We grew together learned together and plenty of laughs along the way! The future is bright for Hawkins FFA and we are excited and pumped up for another great school year just around the corner!!
