Have you been looking for a fun activity to help you stay active but also to get you out of this heat? Well, come down to the Thompson Gymnasium over by the Haviland Grade School to play a round (or two) of pickleball!

We will have courts set up in the gym from 4:00-7:00pm on Sunday evenings starting this Sunday, August 23rd. 💪

‼️ One important thing to note is that if you come to play, you will need to bring an extra pair of shoes. The shoes can’t have been worn outside and they can’t have black soles. Our goal in asking for your help in this, is to keep our gym floor in the best shape it can be for our school.

Come out Tuesday Night to the Back to School, Meet the Teacher Night from 5:30-6:30 and visit our Haviland Recreation table. We will have information about Fun Friday for our Kindergarten-5th Graders, After School Care, youth sports in Pratt, and more! There might be a special little gift on the table for those of you who stop by 😉 we can’t wait to see you all and serve you this coming school year!

The school year is approaching, but that means so are Fall Youth Sports. Below are some flyers about the three sports available through the Pratt Recreation. The registration deadline is August 20th. That will give us time to get all the information to Pratt Recreation.

Youth Football is for 2nd-6th Graders and will cost $40 which includes an NFL Jersey and your Flags.
Youth Volleyball is for 2nd-6th Graders and will cost $35 including a shirt.
Youth Soccer is for Kindergarten-1st Graders and will cost $35 including a shirt.

Games will be Saturday mornings over in Pratt starting September 19th and going through October 24th.

Parents/Guardians, please sign up using the form attached below. We, Haviland Recreation, will be looking for volunteer coaches to help make these sports possible. Please let us know if you are interested.

Everyone welcome Ms. Ashly Boswell, our new Fun Friday Coordinator! She worked with Shayna last year and did a wonderful job. We are excited to see all that she has planned for the school year!
Enrollment forms will be available at the school on Wednesday and Thursday during school hours. If you aren’t able to grab a form at that time, let us know and we will get one to you. We will have them available during school as well.

Welcome to a new school year! My name is Ashly Boswell, and I am so excited to be your child’s Fun Friday teacher this year. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces and getting to know lots of new ones as we begin another exciting year together!

My goal is to make Fun Friday a safe, welcoming, and engaging place where children can explore new activities, build friendships, use their creativity, and most importantly—have fun! We have many exciting activities planned throughout the year, and I can’t wait to share them with your children.

Friday, July 24th, the Wichita Wind Surge Baseball team is hosting a "Grand Slam for Teachers" Baseball Night with a Star Wars Theme 😲and Post Game Firework Show. 🎆 Participants are welcome to come dressed in their best Star Wars Attire (lightsaber included) and stick around for the fireworks afterwards. The gates will open at 6:05pm and the game starts at 7:05pm.

Tickets for Haviland Residents will ONLY be $15.00 and we (Haviland Recreation) will cover the rest of the cost. We will not be providing transportation and the deadline to sign up will be July 17th. Money can be to the Grade School during business hours or to the baseball game. Shayna will be able to collect it then as well.

Shayna found this game on a random Facebook post that was calling all teachers to sign up for a special game. She was given a special link and with each ticket purchased, $5.00 will be donated back to her classroom for the next school year.
