🎨🌿 Creativity, Connection, and Clinical Growth in Action!

Our clinicians recently gathered at Ridley Creek State Park for a special Art Therapy & Family-Based Services Training, led by CGRC Art Therapist Marissa Furey.

Through hands-on creative arts experiences, participants explored therapeutic interventions, learned key principles of the creative arts process, and discovered new ways to engage and support the individuals and families they serve. Just as importantly, the day provided an opportunity for clinicians to connect, collaborate, and strengthen relationships with their peers in a beautiful outdoor setting.

At CGRC, we are committed to investing in ongoing professional development that enhances clinical skills, fosters innovation, and supports our team's well-being.

πŸ’š Thank you to Marissa for sharing her expertise and helping our clinicians experience the power of creativity in therapeutic practice!

June is National Safety Month, making it a great reminder to take a fresh look at home safety.

From testing smoke alarms and checking fire extinguishers to securing medications and reviewing emergency plans, small steps can make a big difference in keeping your family safe.

06/19/2026

Child Guidance Resource Centers recognizes that strong communities are built when every child, family, and individual has the opportunity to thrive, feel valued, and access the support they need.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. Juneteenth reminds us of the importance of listening, learning, and working together to create a more equitable future for all.

As we celebrate this historic day, we reflect on the strength, contributions, and achievements of Black Americans and recommit ourselves to fostering hope, healing, and opportunity in the communities we serve.

β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’š Happy Juneteenth, from our CGRC community!

πŸŽ‰ Big News from CGRC! πŸŽ‰

As we celebrate 70 years of healing, hope, and service, Child Guidance Resource Centers is honored to announce that we have been awarded a $508,638 grant from the William Penn Foundation to support our Incredible Years: Early Childhood Behavioral Health Initiative.

This caregiver-focused program helps families with children ages 0–8 recognize and address emotional and behavioral concerns early through education, group sessions, home-based coaching, and ongoing support. By empowering caregivers with tools and resources before challenges escalate, we can help children thrive and reduce the need for more intensive services later.

The two-year initiative will serve families throughout Philadelphia and include a caregiver "warm line" that provides real-time, non-crisis guidance and support.
