We’re hard at work on a new and improved school-wide reading incentive program: Chatham Park Page Turners!

The official program will kick off at the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year, but we still want to see you turning those pages this spring! You’re invited to participate in a Two-Week Reading Blitz beginning Monday, May 4th, through Friday, May 15th.

During this time, students will work together to reach the school-wide goal of reading 40,000 minutes. If the goal is reached, the teacher of each class that has at least 5 students participating will receive money to purchase books for their classroom library!

How does it work? Just start reading! Keep track of how many minutes you read and enter the total for the day using the online tracking form.

It's Teacher, Nurse and Staff Appreciation Week May 4-8. We are excited to celebrate the incredible dedication, care, and hard work our teachers and staff show every single day.

Mayfair is tomorrow, Friday, May 1st! The weather is looking great, but we are still in need of game captains for many of the events! We are just days away from this year's Maniac Magee Run and Mayfair!

Here are a few key reminders:

Both events will take place at Chatham Park Elementary School, beginning at 5:30 PM on Friday, May 1.

Road Closures: Road closures will begin at 4:45 PM - access may be limited. If you’re nearby, please plan to walk. If you live along the route, please give your neighbors a heads up + come out to cheer on our runners!

After Care: Families, please plan ahead for pickup and arrangements - thank you for your flexibility!

Pizza Pre-Orders (Mayfair): Full pie pre-orders are open, and close Wednesday at 12 PM. Pizza by the slice (along with other food items) will be available at the event.

Race Registration (Maniac Magee): Closes Wednesday night. Same-day registration is available - please plan to arrive between 4:45–5:00 PM for on site registration.

Fire Truck Ball Drop Phillie's Raffle: Pre-purchase closes Thursday at 7 PM. Day-of purchases available.

Mayfair Entry: Pay-what-you-wish pre-registration closes Thursday, but walk-ups are absolutely welcome.

Chatham Park HASA is excited to kick off spring with the annual Maniac Magee Family Run on Friday, May 1 at 5:30 PM. This beloved tradition brings our entire community together for a fun, family‑friendly evening right before Mayfair. We hope you’ll join us!

Cost: $20 per individual or $40 per family

This 2-mile run/1-mile walk through the Chatham Park neighborhood is a great race for new runners and for families looking to walk or run together for a great cause. Here's a layout of the day:

Entry is pay-what-you-wish and includes access to all games and activities. Food, drinks, and treats will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

All donations and proceeds help cover event costs and support HASA-sponsored programs.

Make-a-Plate Deadline April 17

It’s that time of the year again. Use your child's imagination to design a 10-inch round plate! Artists can use colored pencils, paint, markers or crayons, but NO glitter or stickers.

Please use the template provided at https://www.chathamhasa.org/make-a-plate to download the plate design.

The cost is $15 and payments can be made on the HASA website. Click on plate to pay by Credit Card or Paypal (you have the option).

Please pay for and submit art by April 17th.

If you prefer not to pay online, you may send cash or a check in an envelope labeled with your child’s Name & Homeroom.

*Funds are available for any family who may need financial assistance. Please reach out to HASA for more information.
