What a wonderful day for a visit from the Oakmont Fire Company! Our students had the opportunity to learn about fire safety, explore the different parts of a fire truck, and see the firefighters’ gear up close.

And in preschool, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect! One of our students got the sweetest surprise when his dad, a Philadelphia firefighter, arrived on screen as his class’ Mystery Reader! The joy on his face was palpable—and it made an already special day even more memorable.

We are so grateful to the brave firefighters who took the time to teach our students about the important work they do in our community. ❤️🚒

Today, following our First Friday Mass, we proudly installed our 2026–2027 Student Council and Mercy Ministers!

These student leaders have been called to serve our school community with kindness, compassion, responsibility, and a spirit of mercy. We are so proud of each of them and look forward to all they will do to lead by example throughout the year.

CJF was blessed to join Catholic school leaders and educators from across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Schools - AOPS for the Back-to-School Kick-Off at Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School!

It was a beautiful morning of prayer, fellowship, and excitement for the year ahead. We were especially grateful for the opportunity to meet Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez. What a wonderful way to officially kick off the 2026–2027 school year!

Today, following our first school Mass of the year, Father Kevin and Father Jim blessed our beautifully renovated school building as our school choir filled the campus with their beautiful voices.

We are so proud to officially reveal the building’s new name: Our Lady of Mercy. How fitting that this special name was unveiled and the building blessed on Mercy Day!

This October, we look forward to welcoming the Sisters of Mercy back to our campus, where they will reside on the third floor of the building, overlooking the school community they are so deeply connected to. Their return is a beautiful reminder of the charism of mercy that lies at the heart of our school and guides us in all that we do.

Today we will gather for our Opening School Mass in celebration of Mercy Day. The foundation of the Sisters of Mercy remains a guiding pillar of our faith and school community. Hearing our students sing The Suscipe is like listening to the voice of angels 💛

We are so pleased to share the beautiful new mural in our school cafeteria! The 8th Grade Class of 2026 commissioned our incredibly talented art teacher, Holly Tenaglia, to create this mural as their class gift to the school. Mrs. Tenaglia worked so hard on this project all summer, and we are beyond impressed with the gorgeous end result!

We are so grateful to the Class of 2026 for leaving such a meaningful and lasting gift for our school community, and to Mrs. Tenaglia for bringing their vision to life so beautifully. What a special addition to our cafeteria that all of the students get to enjoy daily!

We are so excited to share this incredible video captured by Lake & Pilot Construction, who played such an important role in our convent renovation! What a blessing it has been to have so many talented and skilled members of our community come together to collaborate, create, and bring new life to this beautiful building. An especially heartfelt thank you to our Project Manager Chris Gorski, who made this vision a reality.
