I’m honored to be co-guiding this workshop alongside Checka. One designed to support that return—through rest, reflection, and gentle awakening.
This offering is rooted in the understanding that growth doesn’t come from pushing harder…it comes from creating the conditions where something new can emerge naturally.

Checka will guide you through 45 minutes of all-levels slow flow yoga ~ an encouraging and un-rushed opportunity to stretch from the cocoon of winter and connect with the early signs of new spring growth. Just like nature, we will move gradually, allowing the process to take its time!
From there, Sarah will welcome you into a deeply meditative and relaxing spring-themed Yoga Nidra for the remainder of class. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practice often described as “yogic sleep.” It is a structured descent into deep, conscious rest where the body relaxes fully while awareness remains gently present.
In a world defined by constant stimulation and attention demand, Yoga Nidra offers intentional stillness. It allows the nervous system to recalibrate and creates the quiet conditions where transformation can naturally take root. Rather than forcing change, Yoga Nidra invites awakening — the way spring emerges from winter soil.
This 90-minute experience will be designed for folks with all levels of yoga / meditation experience, including beginners to the practice. It is a generous amount of time so that we truly have a chance to drop into a deep seasonal experience.
The recording will be posted as soon as the class ends, and will remain available through April 18, so no problem if you can’t make it to the live-stream.

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night, and signals the powerful transition between seasons. As we move into winter, the natural world teaches us to pause, slow down, embrace the silence, and welcome the healing and nurturing that comes from stillness.

Key things to know about JOURNEY TO SPRING virtual yoga session kicking off tomorrow 2/8 (runs through 5/1):
• There is a FREE day pass to the on-demand library so you can check it out any day (including today!).
Some members have been reimbursed by their health insurance provider for their membership purchased from me!
• There are two types of membership (full access to live-stream and on-demand, or on-demand only).
• We have a drop-in option available every Saturday.
• There are three 50% scholarships for full membership available for anyone for which it would be helpful - just message me please!
• You can register any time; registration does NOT close when the session begins!
• I will teach 3-4 classes every week. The amazing Courtney Bell teaches 1-2 classes every week. The wonderful Sarah Winslow Yoga is teaching two Yoga Nidra sessions (one in March and one in April) included in the full membership.
• Each week there are 60, 40 and 30 minute classes. This variety has been a huge hit with our members!

THIS picture brings me back to THAT day...the day of the year in the midst of December-crazy when we pause, reflect, slow down and take the time to fully breath and release. It's one of my favorite offerings each year...and it just so happens to be with one of my favorite people - Checka Yoga (Yogaway Retreats)!

Each time I look back for photos of last year’s Bliss Out one-day December retreat (which was our third time running it), I find only a few hasty snaps - with a significant percentage of them being of cute goats. First I get annoyed with myself 😂and then I remember that when the end of the year comes, my inclination is really to simplify. To slow down, enjoy the kindness of those around me, and chill. To let go of doing and tracking all the things and just be. To let my nervous system relax. All the reasons this one-day retreat full of Yin and Restorative Yoga, Reiki, nourishment and simple crafting was born in the first place.
