Welcome to the Haverhill High School Model United Nations Page! We are a club at Haverhill High in Massachusetts where we learn the function and diplomacy of the United Nations through simulation. We attend conferences ranging from small regional events, to international events centered in and around the New York United Nations location. Each year we pour countless hours of research, writing, and debating into preparing for our conferences. In these conferences we are assigned global issues as topics as well as a country to represent when debating these topics. This simulation allows us to gain perspective of how other nations function autonomously, as well as how thy function as members of the United Nations. This club works, not only, to expand our knowledge of the global community, but to learn how, through international diplomacy, we can better that same community. The experience gained in this club and in the events we are able to participate in give us a unique advantage to learn how to be effective participants in our communities locally, and internationally. The opportunity and knowledge we are able to absorb through Model UN is something we are truly grateful for.
