Transportation information.
At HPS, student safety is our top priority; last year, we implemented the ZPass system to be able to identify when students board and depart a school bus. Each student with bus transportation was given a ZPass ID. We are noticing that the ZPass system is not being used to its potential. Effective immediately the Transportation Department, bus drivers, and schools will be enforcing the ZPass system. All students with bus transportation must swipe their ZPass ID when boarding and departing their bus (4 times every day)! If your child does not have a ZPass ID, please check with the main office of their school, and they will put in a request for a pass. If you have any questions, please contact the main office of the student's school. For more information on the ZPass system, visit our website:

Thank you for your cooperation.

Dear Silver Hill Community,
Happy Sunday! If you celebrate, I hope you all had a fun Halloween last night! Trunk or Treat was so much fun - SO wonderful to see all who attended! I included a few photos below.
Wit & Wisdom/Title I Night - Our next family event is approaching! Flyers went home last week, and they are also shown below and attached. If you plan to attend, please send in the bottom part by this Thursday 10/31 so we are sure to have enough pizza! 🙂
Lost and Found - Our Lost and Found pile continues to grow! Please come in the lobby and check it out if your children are missing anything. Also, especially as the colder weather is upon us and more layers are being worn, please LABEL all outerwear with your children's names, so that we might get it back to them right away. Thank you!
Outdoor Recess - Speaking of outerwear, we will be going outside as much as possible! Please be sure your children have coats, hats, etc. If you need assistance, please reach out!
Lunch Monitors - We are still looking to hire lunch monitors. The hours are 11:00 am - 1:45 pm daily. Please let us know if you are interested!
Picture Retake Day - will be on 11/6. Retake day is for new students and staff members, transfer students, or for anyone who may have missed the initial picture day, OR for anyone who was unhappy with their original picture and would like to give it another try. If a student would like the retake photo to replace the original photo, please have the student return the original picture package to the photographer on picture day. We will replace the original package at no additional cost.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. Be well and take good care of one another.
Sincerely,
Donna Martin, Principal

Device Waiver Fee
As part of the District’s 1:1 initiative, every Haverhill Public Schools student receives a HPS-issued Chromebook. HPS offers the opportunity to protect school-issued devices for the school year by paying a Device Waiver Fee. As outlined in the HPS Student Technology Device Policy, this $20 fee will help to cover the costs of potential damage, repair, or loss for the school year for the assigned device. Click below for more information:
