We hope everyone is having a restorative Haverfest! If you have the time, please stop by tomorrow for our final Quaker Brunch of the year!

Stop by HCA 15 between at 12:30pm for a delicious helping of home-cooked gluten-free, vegetarian, and meat dishes! Please bring your own plate and silverware if possible.

Hi Friends!

Quaker House is planning our first event of the year!!!

We’ll be writing KOBs.

Kindness of Bearer (KOB) are letters that are written to others. The author may intend it to a specific recipient but it can also be as simple as “To someone needing some positivity”. This tradition is originally from Westtown School, brought to Quaker House by a former member.

There is a special way to fold the KOBs which we will show you. This is a great way to send messages to members of the community! Another fun aspect is that we will put them in a centralized location and people can pick up a KOB (maybe it’s directly for them or indirectly for them, that’s the fun part!)

We hope you are able to join us on Sunday, September 18, from 11:30-1pm in front of Founder’s (weather permitting). Pick up KOBs Sunday after 5pm at the DC.

Toward Right Relationship with Native Peoples

This interactive workshop, co-facilitated by Chief Coker, Haverford students and others tells the story of the Doctrine of Discovery and its impact upon indigenous people on this continent. It is being offered to the Haverford community as we seek to understand our unique relationship with this place we call Haverford College within the larger context of Settler Colonization in the Americas.
No special knowledge or experience necessary. All are welcome.
