Today was an exciting day for our 5th graders at HGS! 🚀

After several incredible STEAM Day field trips to STARBASE at McConnell Air Force Base, STARBASE leaders came to our school today to help students launch the rockets they designed, built, and decorated themselves. The rockets soared over 100 feet into the air, and our students had an absolute blast watching their hard work take flight!

A huge thank you to the amazing STARBASE staff for coming out to HGS and for providing such an unforgettable hands-on learning experience for our 5th graders!

A tradition unlike any other!

Our annual 6th Grade vs. Staff Kickball Game was another great one this morning filled with laughs, competition, and lots of school spirit. Everyone had a blast, but in the end, the staff managed to come out on top once again!

Thanks to our students and staff for making this such a fun way to celebrate the end of the school year!

Our 5th graders accomplished something incredible this year — together they read a total of 1,264 books! 📚👏

We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and love for reading throughout the school year. A special shoutout goes to our top reader, who finished an amazing 40 books and earned the opportunity to pie our principal, Mr. Morrison, in the face! 🥧😄

What a fun way to celebrate a fantastic year of reading accomplishments. Keep up the great work, Wildcats!

Advanced Art students practiced teamwork, communication, problem solving, patience, and self control as they did partner drawings in art this week!

🎶 The 6th–8th Grade Music Concert will take place tonight at 7:00 PM at the high school! 🎶

Students have been working hard preparing for tonight’s performance, and they are excited for everyone to hear them showcase their talents.
