📚✏️ Back-to-School Orientation is Almost Here! 🍎

We’re so excited to welcome our new and returning preschool families for the start of another wonderful year at First Methodist Preschool! ❤️

Orientation is a special opportunity to:
✨ Meet your child’s teacher
✨ Visit their classroom
✨ Ask questions
✨ Help your little one feel comfortable before the first day

We can’t wait for VBS! 🎉

The end of school is fast approaching, bringing lots of summer fun! We hope your first summer plan will be Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme is Rainforest Falls: Exploring the Nature of God. There will be memorable Bible-learning activities, catchy songs, team-building games, fun crafts, and yummy treats as the kids enjoy Sticky Scriptures daily. The materials and activities are research-based and kid-tested!

June 15 - 19, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. – 11:30 A.M.
Ages 3 – 5th grade (3-year-olds must be trained)

There will be mission opportunities for learning about the joy of giving. Our local missions will be collecting canned food and staple items for the food bank at Ministerial Outreach/Blessing Box, and dog and cat food for the Havelock Animal Shelter. Money will be collected for our global mission. It will provide rice, beans, and oil for families in Haiti through Provision of Grace Outreach.

Registration forms will soon be available in the church office or on the back pew of the sanctuary. Deadline for early registration is June 10.

We want to extend a special thank you to Local Point Church for the yummy treats last Friday! What a fun way to see the hands and feet of Jesus loving on our little people. ❤️

That’s a wrap on the 2025-2026 school year!

Thank you to our FMP families for pouring love into our school! And thank you to our FMP-tastic teachers who showed up daily with new and creative ways to engage these kiddos.

We are SO proud of every single child we got the privilege of teaching this year. Not a single one of them left without growth in one area or another. We can’t wait to see what our little friends who are moving on do in the big wide world AND to see all the capabilities of our little ones coming back in the fall!

We love every family who has stepped foot in our building and are so GRATEFUL we had this school year to be in your village!

Last week, we had such a special visit from Lori with the NC Coastal Reserves! She brought real hermit crabs that she caught right at the beach for the children to see and learn about up close. 🐚

The students loved listening to stories about hermit crabs and coastal life, and Lori even brought adorable hermit crab puppets that kept everyone engaged and excited throughout the visit!

Hands-on experiences like this make learning so meaningful for our little learners, and we are so thankful she spent the day with us sharing a little piece of our North Carolina coast. 🌊💙
