Day three of the 97th North Carolina State FFA convention. Havelock FFA member George Santiago-Carrera served as a delegate from our chapter in the Growing Leaders committee. Our FFA members had a great time and left excited to compete in new events for the upcoming year! What a great way to end the week. Thank you Havelcok FFA members for representing your chapter well. Let’s have a successful new year! 💙💛

A few photos from day 2 of the 97th North Carolina FFA Convention. Four Havelock FFA members competed as a team in the statewide Agronomy CDE. Two Havelock FFA members earned their Old North State Degree, the highest degree earned at the state level! Throughout the day FFA members participated in engaging leadership workshops. Later in the evening everyone enjoyed the luau social creating new connections and making memories!

Summer Clark was recognized for her commitment to teach agriculture education at the University of Mount Olive. George Santiago-Carrera was on stage for the second general session opening ceremonies, his part was conducted completely in Spanish! We had two students compete at the state level for leadership development events! Leah Folk competed in Creed Speaking and George Santiago-Carrera competed in Extemporaneous Speaking.

Congratulations to our very own Leah Folk and George Santiago Carrera for their success in both LDE’s Creed Speaking and Extemporaneous Public Speaking. They both placed third and will advance to compete at the State level in June. Also a big congratulations on George's completion of his year in service as a Regional Officer for the Southeast Region.

Hey y'all! Just last week, April 15th, we held our final chapter meeting for the 2025-2026 school year!
As with all of our previous chapter meetings, we hope you had lots of fun! Additionally, if you were unable to attend and are a dues-paying new or returning member please come by Mrs.Gnesa's room and get your hand stamped!
All of us on the officer team are so happy to have been able to capture this year with you all and leave our mark both physically and, no matter how small, in your lives as well! Thank you all for an amazing year and we hope to see you at the FFA banquet on May 6th!
