Boy, do I remember those years. I do not miss them one bit. Alcohol may be one of the greatest scams ever sold—and one of the most dangerous drugs or substances out there—yet somehow, it’s completely legal.
I lived it. I know what it can take from you, what it can destroy, and how easily it can be disguised as “fun.” Recovery opened my eyes. I wouldn’t trade my sobriety for anything.🙏🏼💚💜

🌊 Odds & Ends Recovery — “Repairing the Rips”
Sometimes in recovery, we feel like a sailboat sitting still in the middle of the water. We pray for God to give us the wind to move forward, but sometimes the problem isn't that God isn't providing the wind—it's that our sails have been damaged by the storms we've survived.
Addiction, grief, guilt, anger, loneliness, broken relationships, and the mistakes of our past can leave tears in our sails. Recovery doesn't mean pretending those rips aren't there. It means having the courage to acknowledge them, surrender them to God, and begin repairing them one day at a time.
And here's the beautiful part: a ripped sail doesn't mean a broken boat. It means repairs are needed.
Some days we'll move forward quickly. Other days we'll barely move at all. That's okay. What matters is that we don't give up, and we don't stop working on ourselves.
At Odds & Ends Recovery, we believe you are not alone, your past does not have to determine your future, and there is always hope for another day. Let God be your wind, let recovery be your repair, and keep moving forward—one day, one breath, and one choice at a time.
