A WYC Alumni that now works in Dallas, TX as a DEA Agent (Drug Enforcement Administration) demonstrated a CER (Claim-Evidence-Reasoning) for our 5th and 6th grade science classes. This person went over and above and sent a full lesson video of our mascot, Wally the Wolverine, making Wolverine toothpaste! The students absolutely loved it. The agent explained how we can use CERs every day even if we are “little wolverines” and how they use CERs every day as a forensic chemist!

Elementary art students are shown turning Wally the Wolverine into a video game character of their own design, and getting ready for entries in the Yell County Fair coming up next week.

Emma Rutledge, WYC Senior and 2026 Fair Queen, has studied for and passed her CNA (certified nursing aide) exam. Emma has been working at Mitchell's Nursing Home and has been able to work more hours due to our 4 day school week!

Hospice home care met with WYC seniors today to dispel some myths about hospice care, and provide some fun and meaningful ways that people can donate their time and talents to the hospice program.
