To our families - It seems that Dojo has reposted an old message about a power outage at the school. Please be assured that the power is on and there is no need to come pick up your children.

WE HAVE POWER! Phones are working.

The power is currently out at The Opportunity Pre-School. The children are safe and comfortable but we do not have phones. PSEG does not know how long it will be out. If you feel the need to pick up your child, please feel free. We may not be able to have aftercare without power. You will be contacted by Victoria if we need to close aftercare.

Dear Parents and Staff
I am writing this with a heavy heart. It is truly inconceivable that a community within our nation is experiencing such unimaginable pain and loss due to another senseless act of violence in a school setting. Together we send our heartfelt condolences to the families and community members of Uvalde, Texas.
We work hard to create a caring and safe school for everyone. I want to reassure you that the safety of our children and our staff remains our top priority. We continue to actively enhance and review our building security protocols in order to ensure the safest learning environment possible. On a regular basis, we conduct appropriate drills and actively work to ensure that our school remains as secure as possible. All our doors are locked from the outside and we continually monitor anyone trying to enter our school.
We are fortunate, and grateful, to have the support of the Hauppauge School District to this end.
In addition, I urge everyone to remain alert and cautious. We appreciate your continued cooperation, and support, in doing the same within our community.
Again, know that the safety of all our children and staff is our number one priority here at The Opportunity Pre-School. If there is anything that we can do to further assist you during this difficult time, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here for you, no matter what.
