Today is National Instructional Coach Day! Platt is blessed to have Mrs. Dodson as our Instructional Coach.

Mrs. Dodson works with our teachers to be the best so that your children can be their best! She is a constant cheerleader and resource for our school!

We can’t wait to celebrate her when we return from Fall Break.

After finishing our CKLA Knowledge unit on the War of 1812, Miss Richard’s class became engineers, shipbuilders, and strategists for the day! Students built foil boats and tested how many pennies they could hold, connecting back to the USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides,” and what made ships strong enough for battle.

They also used catapults and ping-pong balls as cannons and cannonballs, working together to fire at “enemy ships” and try to sink them. What started as a history lesson turned into a day full of STEM, teamwork, problem-solving, and hands-on learning!

Today Platt rolled out the Red Carpet for the Stars behind the scene! Our custodial staff helps keep our school safe and clean at all times. They work behind the scenes to ensure everything is running smoothly!

Help us give a huge shoutout to them for all they do!
