🪐 Hands-on Science at HMS! 🪐

6th-grade scientists in Mrs. Martin’s classes have been exploring the vastness of space by discovering scale and the relative sizes of planets in our solar system!

To bring these astronomical concepts down to Earth, students used Play-Doh to mold and compare the sizes of each planet relative to one another. Hands-on learning makes understanding space a whole lot easier!

Great job to Mrs. Martin and our 6th graders for keeping science engaging and interactive!

🎉 HUGE Shout-Out to our amazing Haughton Middle School Faculty & Staff!

We have officially wrapped up two full weeks of school, and our incredible team has been working tirelessly to make it a fantastic start for our Bucs!

To wrap up the week, Mr. Spud brought his ice cream truck on Friday to help everyone cool off and enjoy a sweet, well-deserved treat. 🍦☀️

Thank you to our teachers, administrators, and support staff for your dedication, energy, and relentless hard work—even in the August heat! We appreciate everything you do for our students and school community.

It's always a great day to be a BUC! 🏴‍☠️❤️

SAY CHEESE BUCS! It's time for School Picture Day-- Thursday, Sep. 3. Students must wear school uniforms for pictures. The photographer will provide a QR code to students as they take their picture. You must keep up with the code if you want to view your proofs and/or purchase your school pictures.

Spud-tacular teamwork in Mrs. Wiggins class! These students met classroom expectations all week long and kept their Mr. Potato Head fully intact, earning a well-deserved treat. Way to lead by example and start the year off strong!
