What a beautiful week of learning at Sacred Roots! 🌿

Our students worked hard on their academics this week, but learning didn’t stop at the desk!

When we learned about triangles, we took our learning outside and built triangles with sticks!

Our students also learned what it’s like to be a bug! They used their noses to follow pheromone scents and find their “family,” learning how insects use smells to communicate and find one another.

They also learned how to care for the sheep and even discovered an inchworm along the way!

Learning is so much more fun when we can use God’s creation as our classroom. This week was filled with hands-on learning, fresh air, and lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather!

At Sacred Roots, we love learning beyond the desk and letting childhood happen along the way.

Grandparents Day at Sacred Roots Schoolhouse!

Today we were blessed to have our students’ grandparents join us!

After giving a tour of their school, they played games, and listened as grandparents explained the show-and-tell treasures from their own childhoods with our students. What a beautiful way to connect generations. The simplest things often make the sweetest memories.

And, of course, no old-fashioned gathering would be complete without homemade ice cream and cake!

We are so thankful for grandparents!

A sweet day of generations, memories, and preserving childhood.

Thanks for a great review!

“Visited the General Store yesterday and could not believe how many products there were to choose from. I had anticipated getting fresh eggs but was happy to find fresh-milled flour as well. My grandaughter started asking me for eggs as soon as we got home. I made biscuits with the fresh flour and they were so delicious with honey butter the kids made at Sacred Roots Schoolhouse. We had a fun morning then shared a delicious farm-fresh breakfast for an afternoon snack🙂 I love that we have a place to buy fresh food products and I'm looking forward to trying more of their unique products.”
