WSD 21st Century Program

As you make your summer plans, don’t forget about the Wonderview 21st Century Summer Camp opportunity from July 6–17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. each day!

We currently have 20 spots still available for all enrolled students K and up. Students will enjoy fun activities, learning opportunities, hands-on experiences, and time with friends throughout the two-week program.

🐝 Exciting News from 21st Century! 🐝

We’re thrilled to share that our program has welcomed its very first beehive for the school to enjoy! This is just the beginning of a new hands-on learning opportunity that we’ll be incorporating into the 2026–2027 afterschool program.

Students will get the chance to learn about bee care, responsibility, and the important role bees play in our environment—all while helping care for our hive.

The bees were placed last weekend, and Ms. McCosh has already been hard at work feeding them to help them get established and off to a strong, healthy start.

We can’t wait to watch this grow and share the experience with our students!

The Conway County Fire Department in St. Vincent (and Jeruselum) absolutely knocked it out of the park for our students!

When I first reached out, I was just hoping they might come talk with our kids about fire and emergency safety—and maybe bring a truck. A truck (one). What we got was so much more. They showed up in full force and created an unforgettable experience for our 21st Century students.
Their team didn’t just talk at the kids—they engaged them, excited them, and gave them real, meaningful knowledge about how to stay safe and respond in an emergency. It was hands-on, high-energy, and incredibly impactful.
This was such a powerful show of support for our youth and our community. Every single person who came out was professional, kind, enthusiastic, and went far beyond anything I could have expected.
If you see these men and women—whether out in the community or responding to a call—take a moment to thank them. Shake their hands, tell them you appreciate them, because the work they do truly matters and does not go unnoticed.

Yesterday our 21st Century students got to see a drug dog in action and hang out with two Conway County Sheriff’s Deputies (including our SRO)!
They loved getting to watch “Dax” work and learn how dogs like him help keep our community safe. It was a great chance for students to see that these dogs are working tools—not something to be afraid of.
Big thank you to the Conway County Sheriff’s Office for coming out and sharing with our kids—we appreciate you!

We have a few fun surprises planned for the kiddos this week, ending with our final Parent Night! Please join us on Thursday from 4:20–5:20pm for our exciting “Jungle” experience. This will also serve as a preview of our summer program. This is open to anyone who wishes to join us.

It has truly been a pleasure working with you and your students during the 2025–2026 school year. As we wrap up, please note that the afterschool program will conclude this Thursday. We are already looking forward to an amazing summer program and to getting started again for the 2026–2027 school year.

Summer enrollment forms have been sent home with all elementary students and are also available in the office for grades 7–12. Enrollment information for the 2026–2027 school year will be coming soon and will be sent home with elementary students as well.

On April 8th during 21st Century, our 5th–12th grade group had a great time learning about mixing and proportions through baking cookies. Not only did they build valuable skills, but the cookies turned out absolutely delicious and beautifully made!

On April 6th, our afterschool 21st Century students had the wonderful opportunity to learn from Med-Tech EMS out of Morrilton during an engaging safety presentation. Students were taught what to expect in an emergency and even got an up-close look at an ambulance—helping make a potentially scary situation feel a little more familiar.

This was such a valuable learning experience, and we are incredibly grateful to Med-Tech and Mrs. Martha for taking the time to visit and share their knowledge with our students. Thank you for making a difference!

We didn't get many pictures from the Week of March 30th but the students did have some fun this week in the garden and playing with Legos.

Our final parent night is scheduled! We hope you will take time to come join the students in an afternoon of fun activities! Times will be announced soon but the date is set for April 16th!
