Today's Launch Lunch has been moved to LAB 303! Starts at 12 - see you then! Pizza and soda provided.
Thursday April 23, at 6pm we will be holding our last event, a film screening of "BROTHERS IN WAR" the National Geographic channel's depiction of Dr. Wiest's book "The Boys of 67" LAB 108. Light refreshments will be available. An amazing and gripping true story that you will never forget and masterfully done. Vietnam Veteran John Young as well as Dr. Wiest will also be in attendance to field questions after the film!

Come out to Phi Alpha Theta's last event of the semester! We will be showing Brothers in War, the documentary film based upon Dr. Andrew Wiest's book, "The Boys of '67: Charlie Company's War in Vietnam." See you this Thursday at 6:00pm in LAB 108!

It's a big week for Phi Alpha Theta! Tomorrow, March 25 at 5pm, Dr. Pamela Tyler will be presenting her lecture, "Of Orphans and Orphanages: Glimpses of Life at the Female Orphan Asylum, New Orleans 1817-1917" as part of our Phi Alpha Theta Lecture Series. Come out to LAB 101 for a fascinating talk.
On Thursday, we will be having our Spring Fundraiser at the Thirsty Hippo, featuring The Mississippi Tornados! Anyone 18+ is welcome, and it starts at 8:30. We are so excited about this event, and we hope to see you there! Be sure to join our event page for more details on the fundraiser.

Phi Alpha Theta would like to invite you to our first movie night of the semester! We will be showing 12 Years a Slave. There will be pizza, refreshments, and a Q&A session with Dr. Douglas Chambers and Dr. Rebecca Tuuri. TOMORROW, February 19th, at 6:00 PM in LAB 108 (Gonzales Auditorium). See you there!
Our next event will be on Feb. 19th as we will be showing the film 12 years a slave, pizza and refreshments will be served promptly at 6:00 pm in LAB 108 (Gonzalez Auditorium) with the film beginning shortly thereafter. There will be a Q&A session afterwards to discuss and digest the potentially shocking and disturbing instances in the film and to give context to the film. Dr. Douglas Chambers and Dr. Rebecca Tuuri, our own African Diaspora and African American historians respectively will be answering questions after the film!! Really hope to see everyone there!!!
