This is important information for incoming students for Fall Semester 2026 at Welcome to William Carey University.
As a qualified military, veteran, or dependent student, you have tuition assistance and discount options available to you. You will need to begin the application process now for Fall Semester.
If you are using GI Bill or VA tuition benefits, email Joy McComb ([email protected]) and Jacob Dater ([email protected]) to begin the application process.
If you are a qualified military service member, veteran or military dependent, email Frank Galardo ([email protected]) for submission of the required documentation for the military discounted tuition. This documentation includes a copy of your military or dependent ID card, a copy of your DD 214, a copy of DD Form 1172, etc. Classification as a dependent is based on Department of Defense guidance.
If you need assistance with Federal Tuition Assistance (i.e. the Army IgnitED) or the State Tuition Assistance Program (SEAP), contact Mark Prine ([email protected]).

Visit the William Carey University booth at the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of Mississippi 57th Annual Conference on Saturday, 21 March at the Refuge Hotel and Conference Center in Flowood.
Did you know that you can use your military experience to gain a college degree? William Carey University offers a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Supervisory Management. The college credit hours that you earned that are on your Joint Services Transcript (JST)/Community College of the Air Force transcript will apply to this degree. Did you know that William Carey University is offering scholarships for JROTC students?
The requirements for this scholarship include:
- Meet requirements for admission to William Carey University.
- Successfully Complete JROTC as a High School Junior and Senior.
- Scholarship is for $2000 per year.
- Scholarship is “stackable” with other scholarships/financial aid.
- Scholarship DOES NOT have a ROTC participation requirement.

Free Football tickets for Military Service Members, Veterans, and their Dependents are available for the Military Appreciation Day Football Game on Saturday, 15 November at USM. Kick-off is at 2:30 pm.
To claim your free tickets, please come by the lobby in Lawrence Hall on Wednesday, 12 November at 10:00am or email the [email protected].
Tickets are limited. We are asking that you limit your request to 2 tickets per military member, veteran, or dependent. Also, if you receive tickets, please attend the game.
Don't forget about the free Pre-Game Picnic at the Center for Military Veterans, Service Members and Families (200 N 35th Avenue) on Saturday, 15 November from 11:00am until 1:30 pm.
