The Eagle's Nest seeks to ensure that USM student, staff or faculty go without basic food needs. Donations can be made to https://eaglefever.usm.edu/eaglesnest
The Eagle's Nest was founded by the Student Association of Social Workers at USM. It is based on the existing research that suggests students and faculty/staff on college campuses have food insecurity. The food pantry is proposed to serve the food needs of students and staff who are in need of provisions for their basic need of food. Services provided to individuals in need will be free of charge. In 2021, the Eagle's Nest was moved under the Dean of Students Office.

Due to Southern Miss Commencement ceremonies, the Eagle's Nest food pantry will be closed on Friday, May 15th.

The Eagle's Nest would like to give a huge shout out to our Fraternity and Sorority Life for their donation drive during Greek Week 2026! Donation drives help maintain our operation and dedication to the USM community 🙌

The Eagle's Nest will be closed this Friday, April 3, due to the University being closed for Good Friday. We will reopen on Friday, April 10th for our normal operating hours.
