Meet Marleigh Blush, a Brandon, Mississippi native studying speech pathology and audiology with a passion for helping others find their voice. What started as uncertainty quickly turned into purpose for her at Southern Miss.
“From the very beginning, I was surrounded by people who genuinely cared. Whether it was professors, staff, or mentors, they didn’t just see me as another student, but as a person,” Marleigh shared.
“When I began volunteering at the DuBard School, it started as a way to complete service hours, but it quickly became something so much more. I soon found a passion for working with children with language disorders. For the first time, I felt deeply connected to what I was learning.”
Marleigh is actively involved on campus as president of Kappa Delta and secretary of NSSLHA. She is also a member of Eagle Connection, Order of Omega Honor Society, the Luckyday Scholarship Program, and Campus Outreach.
