This program allows children around Lamar County to come to kindergarten prepared for school and ready to learn!
A child’s early years lay the foundation for long-term academic achievement. Research has proven that early childhood education and family involvement are two of the most powerful predictors of educational success. While children receive high-quality experiences within the classroom, we also desire to equip parents and guardians with resources to support their children at home.

Lamar County Schools 26-27 Pre-k Application information...As we are teaching our pre-k students about making mistakes and trying again, we recognized a misspelling in our original post about our upcoming pre-k applications. We have revised it and are trying again. Please see the corrected information below.

Our community wins when families read together. We have given away 188 books at Read for the Win at both Lumberton and Sumrall football games! Purvis and Oak Grove we can't wait.
