Say hello to the new graduates of 2025!!

12/04/2025

Our last but not least sophomore spotlight is Kylie Parish Smith. She is the class of 2025 President and has represented her class well. Her family and friends are so proud of her!

Here is what a recent preceptor shared about her:

“Kylie was an absolute joy to have and work with. I say work with because she was already very knowledgeable. She asked the appropriate questions when she was unsure about something. Kylie was also VERY eager (which we love) to learn and get to do anything she could. I can’t stress enough about how well she has done these past two days. Kylie never got out of character when she was doing something she was uncomfortable with. She kept her head up and went with it, which is nearly impossible to find these days. She explained every step of extubation to me without missing a step and stepped up and extubated several patients like she had done this for years. She got the most competencies I’ve ever given, but she WORKED her butt off for them! my girl will go places in this field! She sets the bar high for other students. I can’t wait to work / precept her again! She’s awesome… but, not without the help of the best instructors ever!

Sophomore spotlight this week is Grace Sigman! Grace has worked so hard in school and has done an amazing job balancing work, life and school. We are so proud of her hard work and so is her family.

Here is what recent preceptor has shared about Grace:

“Grace was eager and excited to participate in patient care. She didn't hesitate to do what needed to be done and in a timely manner. Grace shows extraordinary potential to become a well-rounded RRT.”

11/26/2025

Our sophomore spotlight this week is Makayla Forbes! She is a class favorite with her positive attitude and always talks to everyone even if she doesn’t even know you! She has worked hard and can’t wait to graduate next month!

Here is a little positive feedback from one of her preceptors recently: “I enjoyed precepting Makayla. She was very willing to learn and do anything asked of her. She will make a great respiratory therapist! The patients responded well to her.”

Sophomore case study presentations!! Thank you so much to Dr. Younis, Donnie Shepherd, and JJ for taking the time to help with these presentations! Next up, their last finals in RT school!!! We hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

11/17/2025

First this week for our sophomore spotlight is Hunter Jackson. Hunter has worked his way through this program working as a RT student tech at FGH, and has done a great job in school and clinical. He has been encouraged by so many throughout his time within the program!

Here is a little praise Hunter has received in his student evaluation from a previous preceptor:

"Hunter was an excellent student today, he asked very appropriate questions and was a lot of help on a busy day. We would love to have him here as an RT in the future!"
