🎉 Important Announcement from Kidz R Kidz Learning & Development Center 🎉

We are excited to share that Kidz R Kidz Learning & Development Center intends to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Cohort 9 Grant through the Mississippi Department of Education.

This grant will allow us to expand our academic and enrichment services for children ages 0-5, particularly those in low-income and underserved families in our community. Our goal is to continue providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment that builds strong foundations for lifelong learning.

NOW ENROLLING Ages 6 weeks - 5 years

Our facility has licensed childcare caregivers; which include AA Degree and Chemistry and Biology Majors.

Along with Hands-on-Activity Instruction; which includes, ABCs, Numbers, Holiday material, and Arts & Crafts.

These will allow children to learn on a daily and weekly basis throughout their early years.

We also have now included CAMERAS on the facility!

We are aware of the viral post created by a representative of Royal Spices in regard to the unfortunate incident that occurred at our facility Thursday, September 3rd, 2024.

This business has been in full operation for over 40 years; the previous owner passed away February of 2023.

To share some light, the incident that occurred was between a 9 month old and a 1 year old. Our staff members are well accredited with multiple years of childcare experience and with no criminal history. The 9 month old child that was unfortunately injured had been with our facility since he was 1 month and has never had any incidents or injuries occur.

Our facility followed the appropriate protocol required by the State of Mississippi for an incident that has two minor children involved. The parents of both children involved were contacted immediately at the time the incident occurred.

For those unaware of the Mississippi state regulations for childcare, here are a few for those unaware in regard to the incident:

- The State of Mississippi does not require cameras in a childcare facility, it is at the discretion of the owner.

- The provider to student ratio in the state of Mississippi is 1 to 5 (There must be one provider in a classroom of no more than 5 children). The age range for an infant classroom is newborn to 12 months of age. Therefore a one year old may be in the same infant room as a newborn.

Due to the other child involved being a minor and the investigation being ongoing we are unable to release the evidence that proves the child caused the injuries. However, they have been provided to the appropriate authorities.

We are well aware of how ANY parent whose child has been involved in an incident such as this would feel. But we are saddened of the outrageous accusations towards our facility employees, and the lack of compassion being given towards the other child involved.

The incident was very well documented and all documents were provided to the appropriate authorities as well.

Due to the investigation we are unable to make any further comments until the investigation has been complete. On behalf of Kidz R Kidz Learning and Development center we ask to please allow time for the ongoing investigation to be complete. Upon completion we will provide further updates.
