Melissa Brooks, head of technical services, is the 2026 recipient of the Excellence in University Librarianship Award.

As head of technical services, she leads the cataloging, electronic resources, and collection management units, collaborating with staff to identify resources and order, receive, and process resources to provide the best access possible to the University community.

The Excellence in University Librarianship Award recognizes a faculty member who has significantly contributed in the practice of librarianship through excellent performance that enhances the dissemination of knowledge and through the advancement of learning.

Congratulations to Courtney Kruzan!

Courtney was recently honored by the Center for International Education with the Collaborative Event of the Year award.

Through her leadership, Cook Library hosted International Games Month, bringing together more than 10 campus groups and student organizations for three engaging events throughout November. These events highlighted the power of games to connect communities through learning, creativity, and fun.

This marks the second year Courtney has organized game events for international students—continuing to build meaningful connections across campus.
