As many of you heard, a lightning strike over the weekend resulted in the total loss of our field hockey equipment shed. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the event, and the only loss we are dealing with is equipment. Stuff can be replaced.

We would like to thank the Hatfield Fire Department for their quick response. Their actions saved our irrigation controls and a mower.

We are in the process of working with our insurance company to determine what will be covered. Given the proximity to our fall season, we are working quickly to replace the equipment that was lost.

Many people have reached out asking if they can help with a donation. Donation checks can be made to Smith Academy with a note in the memo line for field hockey.

Darren is planning to go into the real estate field following graduation.
He is proud to have received good grades during his time at Smith Academy.

Emma was accepted to URI, UVM, University of Delaware, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, and will be attending UConn focusing on physical therapy.

While at Smith Academy she has been Soccer Captain, All League, 2nd Team All WMass, Basketball Captain, Softball Captain and MIAA Student Ambassador as well as a member of National Honor Society.

Marissa has been captain of the varsity field hockey and softball teams. She's also an National Honor Society member and was an MIAA student ambassador. She's thankful for my parents and teachers for supporting me the last 4 years.

She was accepted to Coastal Carolina, University of Tampa, and Saint Leo University. She will be attending the College of Charleston to study communications.

Molly was accepted to UMass and will be majoring in criminal justice or political science.

She is proud to have been a member of Concert Band, Jazz Band, Student Council E-Board Member, Field Hockey Captain, and Basketball Captain while at Smith Academy.

Kerin is proud to have been a member of student council and participating in school activities including YASS.

Kerin was accepted to Emmanuel College, Emerson College, UMASS Isenburg, Simmons University, Endicott College, Salve Regina University and will be attending Smith College in the Fall.
