The Little Red Barn Preschool

Change can be scary and hard. Especially when it’s a change you didn’t choose. Today marks the start of a new chapter in my and my girls lives. The past 5 years I’ve poured my heart and soul into The Little Red Barn. To see it close is heartbreaking. I hope it lives on in the hearts of all the kiddos that had a chance to spend time here! Although this wasn’t a decision I got to make, me and my girls are trying to make the most of this new adventure! Thankfully I’ll be staying in education and teaching 4th grade at Bailey Elementary! Excited to continue working with kids ❤️

This is a post I could’ve never imagined having to write. One thing I’ve learned over the past year is life throws us curveballs when we least expect them!

It is with extreme sadness that I share that The Little Red Barn Preschool will be closing at the end of this month.

The Little Red Barn started as a spark when my oldest was a baby and turned into something beyond my biggest dreams!

Thank you for all the caregivers that trusted me with their children during the 3 years we operated. Teaching children is my biggest joy in life and offering a nature based preschool for families in the Hastings/Cottage Grove/Woodbury/Prescott/Riverfalls communities has been something I’ve taken so much pride in!

While my heart is so broken over this choice that was really out of my hands, I am trying to remain hopeful as I look to my and my girls future ❤️

Thank you again to everyone who made The Little Red Barn an amazing place for children to learn and grow❤️

So excited to share that we are officially a 4 star Parent Aware rated program!

Our first summer camp is in full swing and we are having a wonderful time! We do still have a few spots left for our next two camps (July 10-20 and July 24-Aug 3)! Camps run M-Th 9-11:30 and we take kiddos ages 3-7!

Hi families, unfortunately we have to postpone the picnic tonight! The air quality is in the red and since the event is outside we want to make sure it’s safe and enjoyable for everyone! Stay tuned for a new date!
