Schedule Changes Update

We want to provide an update regarding student schedules. Our team is working diligently and around the clock to correct the scheduling issues that have affected some of our students and families.

We are doing everything we can to have all necessary schedule changes completed by Sunday. However, if we are unable to complete every change by then, we will continue working as quickly as possible at the beginning of the school week to ensure the remaining issues are resolved.

We sincerely apologize for the frustration and stress these scheduling issues have caused our students and parents. We understand how important it is for students to have accurate schedules, and we are working to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

Student schedules (semester 1) are now available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. We really appreciate your patience as we finalized everything.

Please note the following details as you view your student's schedule:

- To keep things moving smoothly and avoid the long lines at tonight's open house (3:30 for new students and 6th graders; 4 p.m. for everyone else), we will not be printing hard copies at school. So please, make sure to view your student's schedule on PowerSchool.

- It will be helpful to take a screenshot or print a copy of your student's schedule at home before arriving for the open house. Having it saved on your phone helps avoid portal slowdowns when everyone tries to log in at once.

- Schedules are as finalized as possible. If any small adjustments occur over the weekend, they will automatically update and reflect in the portal.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to call the Middle School office at 269-948-4404.

Student schedules are currently being uploaded into PowerSchool. Due to ongoing technical difficulties with the system, our counseling and scheduling teams will be making updates throughout this week and into the middle of next week.
Please note that any schedule you may see in PowerSchool during this time is not final and is likely to change. We ask that you disregard any schedules that appear until we announce that scheduling has been completed.
To allow our staff to focus on resolving these issues as quickly as possible, we also ask that you please do not call the front office with scheduling questions at this time. Final schedules are not expected to be completed until the middle of next week.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we work through these technical challenges. We will provide another update as soon as schedules are finalized.

🚌They're off!

Yesterday, our Hastings Middle School 8th graders officially departed for their Washington, D.C. trip! Over the next several days, students will have the opportunity to explore our nation's capital, visit historic landmarks and monuments, learn about American history firsthand, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

This trip is always a highlight of the middle school experience, combining education, exploration, and fun with friends. We wish our students, staff, and chaperones safe travels and an amazing adventure as they experience all that Washington, D.C. has to offer!

We can't wait to see the pictures and hear about all the incredible experiences when they return.
