Lucky is such an awesome & interesting horse who’s warming his way into the hearts of many at the barn. He’s the star of our Saturday morning c**t starting classes and can be seen trotting at lightning speed around the indoor.😮
Yesterday, he was ridden both in the morning rain and again last night.
When starting horses, some days we will put several shorter rides on throughout the day.

Darrell started riding and horse training lessons, and a whole new world opened up! He’s always loved horses but wasn’t sure how to get started—now he’s living his best life. Recently, he spent a vacation herding cattle across a 10,000-acre cattle ranch in Colorado. From lessons to the open range, he’s making up for lost time and loving every
minute of it!

Eloise a talented young dressage rider is exploring her interest in horse training. Shes working with a young horse who’s never been ridden & discovering the connection through patience, hard work, feel & sweat.
Learning to understand the horse is a great gift to give yourself. Watching this horse focus trust & connect with her is wonderful.

What a weekend! First 2 rides on Lucky! Amy has been working hard apprenticing alongside Michelle learning everything about starting horses. This weekend the time was right for Amys first time riding an unbroke horse under saddle. Her rescue horse Lucky who’s blind in one eye. We adapted our training methods and he’s thriving. Things went well and we’re thrilled Amy didn’t get tossed🤣. Lucky is available for adoption❤️

Training graduation day! Hugs all around. This mare initially demonstrated very dangerous behaviors—charging, rearing, striking & kicking. At first she challenged me every day! I could tell she wanted to trust but we had to work through a lot together. It made me sad as I wondered each day whats her back story? What has she experienced in her past to cause her to act this way.. So proud of how far she’s come. Today it was heartwarming seeing her owner (who showers this horse with so much love) sharing a joyful peaceful ride with her horse.❤️ Thank you Deb for the opportunity to help your beautiful horse feel confident & relaxed.

As a wrap to thoroughbred camp we must give Honorable mentions & kudos to Peaches & Goose- Quarter horses, Snowflake the Arabian & Vino the Andalusian. It was a great week! Several of these horses are training horses & grateful to their owners for sharing their lovely horses with the children. ❤️
