We love when people find their way to Free Kids Academy because they believe deeply in what’s possible for children. This year we are so excited to welcome Theresa Dolan as our Director of Enrollment and Strategic Growth. ✨
At the heart of Theresa’s work and motherhood lies one enduring question: How do people, and the communities they create, become more fully themselves? Her fascination has always lived where human potential, intentional systems, and meaningful growth meet. She believes education becomes most alive when children are not simply prepared to enter the world as it already exists, but invited to walk as wayshowers, returning us to the light, wisdom, and remembrance the world may be ready for.
Theresa’s work in education has woven together Waldorf, Montessori, experiential, phenomenon-first, and whole-child approaches with curriculum design, family partnership, movement, nature, and the arts. At The Bhakti Center in New York City, she directed educational programming and community engagement, deepening her fascination with how values become culture, culture becomes belonging, and belonging creates the conditions for people to flourish.
Her work as a birth doula and movement educator has further shaped her reverence for our profound capacity to heal, awaken, and become through relationship with one another. She has also presented at the Green Schools National Conference and spoken as a panelist at Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Foundation Town Hall.
Today, Theresa couldn’t be more thrilled to help Free Kids grow while carrying forward the wonder, humanity, and soul that make it extraordinary. For her, the joy is in helping more families find their way into a community where children are trusted as humans in becoming, invited to follow what lights them up, and supported in carrying their gifts forward into the world.
