Last Saturday was another great morning at the Hastings Airport! ✈️🏃‍♂️

The annual 5K on the Runway brought together 138 runners for a fun morning supporting our community and enjoying a unique view of the Hastings Airport.

We were proud to have five of our own HPD officers take part in the race! Sergeant Williamson, Officer Acosta, and Officer Buchholz took the opportunity to enjoy the race while Sergeant Fink and Sergeant Sharman decided that a regular 5K simply wasn't challenging enough and completed the course in their full tactical gear! 💪👮‍♂️

We can only speculate that the approximately 40 pounds of additional equipment helped them burn a few extra calories… which, of course, was probably all part of the master plan for the post-race doughnuts. 🍩

Great job to everyone who participated, and a big thank-you to all of the volunteers and organizers who made another 5K on the Runway a success!
