Dear Hastings Families,
The first day of school is almost here — we’re so excited to welcome everyone back this week and kick off a wonderful new school year! Thank you for supporting the 2026–2027 Hastings PTSA. Your membership and participation make a real difference in our schools, and we are excited to partner with you to support every child in the district.
Haven’t joined the PTSA for the 2026–27 school year yet? It’s not too late! Join the PTSA here and become part of our community.
Whether you’re new to Hastings or a returning family, we look forward to connecting with you throughout the year. It takes a village to support our children, and we hope you’ll find a way to be part of our PTSA community this year!
PTSA/SEPTA Parent Meetings
PTSA/SEPTA Parent Meetings are a great way to meet your school’s principal and assistant principal, connect with the PTSA Executive Board, and hear about upcoming programs and initiatives. More info here
Hillside: Wednesday, September 30, 8:30am — In Person
FMS: Wednesday, October 7, 8:30am — In Person
HHS: Wednesday, October 14, 8:30am — In Person
PTSA Tote Bag & Calendar
This year, we’re switching things up! Instead of our traditional PTSA calendar, we’re excited to offer a limited-edition Hastings PTSA tote bag to the first 400 families to sign up for PTSA membership.
Tote bag pickup will be available at:
Hillside, FMS & HHS Back-to-school nights
Kindergarten Popsicles 9/1
Teacher/staff tote bags will be delivered to schools
Other PTSA events TBA
While we won’t be distributing a paper PTSA calendar this year, you can still keep track of important school dates by syncing the district calendar with your Google Calendar. Simply visit the district calendar and click on "add to Google Calendar".
We’re so excited to see these totes around town — and thank you for being part of the PTSA!
Volunteer With the PTSA
There are lots of ways to get involved with the PTSA this year — and you don’t need to commit to a regular volunteer schedule! If you’re interested in helping out, fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and we’ll be in touch when opportunities come up.
We’re looking for volunteers for:
Grade-Level Liaison — Help the PTSA get the word out to your child’s grade or class.
Fall Logowear Sales — Help sell Hastings PTSA gear at possible events including the Farmers Market, Back-to-School Nights, and Homecoming.
Halloween Fun Run — Help set up, cheer on and direct runners.
Used Book Fair — Help sell logowear, sort books, work the book sale, and more.
Spring Logowear Sales — Help sell Hastings PTSA gear at possible events including Family Dance Night, the Color Fun Run, the Farmers Market, and more.
Color Fun Run — Help set up, direct and cheer on runners, and throw colors!
