NYSUT members worked hard to get bell-to-bell cellphone restrictions put in place in schools across New York, but with technology transforming education faster than ever before, the need to ensure technology remains a tool – not a centerpiece – of teaching and learning is more important than ever.

We’re excited to announce that we will be hosting Unplugged: Reclaiming Human-Centered Education to explore the impact of screens and AI on attention, learning, relationships and child development while discovering strategies that strengthen literacy, creativity, critical thinking and human connection.

HTA had a blast at the RCTA Bowling Spectacular! We helped to support Rockland Hospice while bowling by alongside hundreds of other teachers. Special shout out to NYSUT President Melinda Person, whose children were bowling next to us and killing it on the lanes.
