Important transportation information for Romer Elementary families:

We are excited to welcome students and families back for the 2026-2027 school year beginning Wednesday, August 12. As we prepare for the first day, we know some families have concerns about missing traffic safety signage near Romer Elementary.

Because the safety of our students and families is our top priority, Northwest ISD is providing a temporary transportation option for students who live south of Rancho Canyon Way and west of Sendera Ranch Blvd. and within two miles of Romer Elementary. The shuttle will transport students from this area to campus beginning the first day of school and will remain in place until the necessary safety measures, including crosswalk signage, are installed.

These safety measures are implemented by the City of Fort Worth. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as the safety improvements are completed.

Families in this area who would like their student to use the temporary shuttle should email the Northwest ISD Transportation Department at [email protected] by Monday, August 10. Families who sign up for the temporary shuttle will be notified Tuesday, August 11, of their designated pickup location and additional transportation details.
