It didn’t start with the men you dated.
It started with the man who was meant to protect you.
1️⃣ You learned love feels inconsistent ❤️🩹
Some days he gave you attention, other days he withdrew it.
Example: You felt you had to earn warmth, not receive it freely.
❤️🩹 Healing insight: Real love is steady, not something you have to chase.
2️⃣ You became hyper-aware of moods ❤️🩹
You learned to read the room to stay safe.
Example: You can sense a shift in energy instantly and adjust yourself to keep the peace.
❤️🩹 Healing insight: You are allowed to exist without constantly managing others.
3️⃣ You confused emotional distance with strength ❤️🩹
Coldness felt normal, even attractive.
Example: You’re drawn to men who are hard to reach, thinking winning them means something.
❤️🩹 Healing insight: Healthy love feels safe, not like a challenge to conquer.
4️⃣ You overgive to feel worthy ❤️🩹
You learned love comes from what you do, not who you are.
Example: You pour everything into relationships, hoping they’ll finally choose you.
❤️🩹 Healing insight: You don’t have to prove your worth to be loved.
5️⃣ You tolerate what should have broken you ❤️🩹
Because part of you believes this is just how love is.
Example: You stay longer than you should, hoping they’ll change like you once hoped he would.
❤️🩹 Healing insight: Familiar does not mean healthy.
6️⃣ You’re still trying to rewrite your first story ❤️🩹
Every relationship becomes a chance to finally be chosen.
Example: You fight harder in toxic love because it feels like fixing the past.
❤️🩹 Healing insight: You don’t heal by repeating the wound.
My final thought…
There is nothing wrong with you.
You adapted to a love that was never safe, and now your mind is trying to find what feels familiar, not what is healthy.
