Peas In-a Pod
All this and more... my plate is full but my heart is bursting with love and gratitude!!

There’s something about childcare that people don’t always see.

It’s not just the work.

It’s the mental load.

Your brain never turns off.

You’re always thinking three steps ahead.

Who needs a diaper.
Who didn’t eat much.
Who looks like they’re getting sick.
Who needs help learning to share.
Who is about to climb something they shouldn’t.

You’re watching everything at once.

And while you’re doing all that, you’re also cooking, cleaning, teaching, comforting, redirecting, and trying to keep the peace between tiny humans who all need something at the same time.

It’s a lot.

And some days it feels like no matter how hard you try, you’re still wondering if you did enough.

But here’s the truth.

If the children in your care feel safe, loved, and happy to come back the next day… you’re doing better than you think.

Childcare isn’t easy.

But the heart behind it is something really special. 💜

Great Reel--- Listen!! Let our babies play!! Let them lead their learning and playing!!! They learn much more that way. Our kids need balance!! Yes, we prepare our sweet peas at Peas in a Pod Child Care & Learning Center!! It's about where a child starts and individual growth!!!

Please do not let one test determine your child's academic level! It hurts my heart that so many are torn right now because one test has determined if a child gets in specific schools from Pre-K to getting into High Schools. Believe me I have been in those shoes. Guess what?! I look at it as that school didn't/doesn't deserve my child! My child is much more than a test! So many factors go into why they may have not passed those tests! From a new environment, tricky tests, the test administers, testing anxiety, etc....

🥶Peas in a Pod's 🫛Winter Closure Notice❄️

Due to safety concerns from inclement weather and accordance with our policy to follow Jefferson Parish Public Schools and JP officials, we will be CLOSED tomorrow Monday, January 26th!

The safety of our Sweet Peas and Staff is our highest priority!

We will continue to monitor the weather throughout tomorrow to determine further notifications of opening.
