This school year, West Jefferson High School is proud to support our Latino families with our new bilingual parent liaison, Mrs. Jenifer Acosta. We are committed to providing parents and guardians with resources and support needed so that, together, we can help our students succeed! Please join us in welcoming her into this new role.

Coach Nickerson is the Head Coach of the West Jefferson Lady Bucs Volleyball Program, where she leads with passion, discipline and a commitment to excellence both on and off the court. Dedicated to building strong athletes and even stronger young women, she emphasizes teamwork, accountability and growth in every aspect of the game.

Under her leadership, the Lady Bucs program continues to develop into a competitive and unified force, proudly representing West Jefferson with heart, pride and determination. Coach Nickerson believes in creating opportunities for every athlete to grow, compete and succeed all while fostering a culture built on respect, effort and BUC PRIDE!

Five Years. One Standard: EXCELLENCE

For the 5th consecutive year, West Jefferson High School’s JAG Program has earned the prestigious 6 of 6 Award, the highest national recognition presented by Jobs for America’s Graduates!

This award recognizes programs that meet all six national performance benchmarks, reflecting outstanding student success in graduation, career readiness, employment, and postsecondary education.

Congratulations to JAG Specialist Tenaj Jones for her unwavering commitment to our students and for representing West Jefferson High School, Jefferson Parish Schools, and Louisiana with excellence on the national stage.

At West Jeff, we don’t just prepare students for graduation, we prepare them for tomorrow’s greatness!
