Five Years. One Standard: EXCELLENCE

For the 5th consecutive year, West Jefferson High School’s JAG Program has earned the prestigious 6 of 6 Award, the highest national recognition presented by Jobs for America’s Graduates!

This award recognizes programs that meet all six national performance benchmarks, reflecting outstanding student success in graduation, career readiness, employment, and postsecondary education.

Congratulations to JAG Specialist Tenaj Jones for her unwavering commitment to our students and for representing West Jefferson High School, Jefferson Parish Schools, and Louisiana with excellence on the national stage.

Felix Lewis is a dedicated music educator and New Orleans native whose passion for developing young musicians has guided his career in and out of the classroom. A graduate of Southern University and A&M College, he was recognized as Most Outstanding Performer and Bandsman of the Year for his excellence in musicianship and leadership.

Since graduating in 2018, Lewis has served as a K-12 band director while continuing to perform professionally. He is committed to building programs that foster musical excellence, discipline, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. He is excited to lead the next generation of student musicians and continue making a positive impact through music education at West Jefferson High School.

The WJHS Soccer Team joined forces with Hosanna Fellowship to unload supplies for community members in need…proving that the strongest teams make an impact both on and off the field.
