Thankful Thursday at SIS!

We have so much to be thankful for at Sparkman Intermediate School!

Thankful Thursday is a time for us to pause and reflect on how blessed we are to have wonderful people, businesses, churches, and organizations in our community who genuinely want to see SIS succeed and our students thrive.

Since opening the doors of our beloved school, we have received an incredible amount of love and support. Whether through a donation, partnership, service, time, resources, or simply lending a helping hand—no act of kindness, big or small, goes unnoticed or unappreciated.

🏐💙 END OF THE NINE WEEKS INCENTIVE! 💙🏐

Friday, we celebrated our first of many End of the Nine Weeks Incentives! Our parents and staff faced off in a friendly—but VERY competitive—game of volleyball!

Now… we have to give credit where it’s due. 😂 The parents wiped the staff OUT! 🧹🏐 But win or lose, we had an AMAZING time celebrating our Cougars who demonstrated positive behavior throughout the first nine weeks!

A huge THANK YOU to our parents, Dr. Lockett Lewis, and Mrs. Cantrell for joining the fun and supporting the greatness happening at SIS! We truly appreciate your support of our students, staff, and school community!

Yesterday we celebrated our wonderful custodial staff! SIS would be SO BLUE without Mr. Vincent, Ms. Angie, Ms. Sora, and our amazing Plant Manager, Ms. Kara!

We celebrate the incredible team that works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep SIS clean, safe, beautiful, and ready for our Cougars each day. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate EVERYTHING you do!

🔥 400+ Cougars earned 100% attendance!
📈 96.6% schoolwide attendance for September!

We set the goal, and our Cougars CRUSHED IT! Now it’s time for Admin to keep our promise. 😅💦 Our students with perfect attendance are getting their chance to SOAK THE PRINCIPALS with water balloons! 🎯🎈

Sparkman Intermediate Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month 🐾

Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 - October 15. This is a time to celebrate all that the Hispanic community has contributed to our country. Did you know that there are 21 Spanish-speaking countries, including some that our very own SIS students have immigrated from? These include Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Venezuela. Isn't it exciting that we have all of these countries represented here at SIS? Students will be enjoying some displays set up in our school as well as some fun facts about notable Hispanic Americans shared over morning announcements.
