A special Kerm alert! Special thanks to our Equine-Assisted Services Manager, Kerm, for all she does at BraveHearts and always eager to jump in! It was extra special to have her mount up and join in our recent clinic giving her an opportunity to enjoy EAS for herself. 🩷 Give Kerm a shout below!👇

Shoutout to US Navy Veteran, Sherri, who has been riding with us since 2019. In recent years, Sherri has wanted to have a keepsake for every horse she’s ridden and has now created multiple hats with favorites of the herd! At a recent clinic, she came in wearing her Ranger & Moose hat, but when she found out she was partnering up with Nemo, she had to swap to represent him. Thanks Sherri for spreading the joy of the herd with every wear!

Thank you Officer Mike Murphy and Rozco for joining us on Saturday for Trail to Zero NYC. Beyond our team, Trail to Zero welcomes many neighboring mounted unit officers to join our ride, with some traveling many hours and from out-of-state to join us. We know our mission creates greater conversation and impact and we are so grateful to the many who mounted up to join us. ❤

We had the honor of hosting 9 volunteers from GE Aerospace at our Poplar Grove location recently. They put in a lot of effort in to the main arena (clearing the ramp and walkways, dusting the rails and adding Murphy's oil) as well as helping clean the perimeter of the barn. A day at the barn is only complete with once you've had some horse time, so they finished their visit helping groom Moose 🐴♥️ Thank you volunteers!

If your business, club, or team would like to schedule a volunteer visit with us, please follow this link: https://braveheartsriding.org/volunteer/

Meet the Trail to Zero NYC Team 🇺🇸:
Jennifer Hardy is a U.S. Army veteran who discovered BraveHearts in 2024 through her husband, Drew, a member of the Rock Valley Mustang Club. Since then, she’s continued growing her horsemanship through lessons, volunteering, attending higher horsemanship clinics hosted at our farms, and riding with the Outriders Drill Team. Along the way, Jennifer has experienced the quiet strength and healing presence of the BraveHearts herd and the remarkable ability of horses to offer connection without judgement. In 2025, Jennifer was honored to ride Mighty on her first Trail to Zero in Chicago, riding to raise awareness of Veteran su***de and honor those who never made it home. Returning in 2026, Jen & Mighty teamed up again in NYC to continue that mission, reaching those still fighting battles in silence and recognizing the horses that quietly carry so many of us forward.
