DAY 8️⃣
We cannot believe that our time is winding down here. We are so proud of all of the work we have accomplished, especially the fact that we completed all five of our projects and now hold a record at Epworth! We worked so hard at our sites today to ensure we got everything done. A group went to Chalmette National Cemetery and cleaned headstones then finished their day at Habitat for Humanity Restore. We are now done with our projects at Epworth and will be finishing our service at the CRCL Oyster Restoration tomorrow. We will also be going on a swamp tour tomorrow afternoon and we are so excited!

DAY 7️⃣
We are plugging away on our sites and will be all done with our two ramp projects tomorrow. We are on track to break the Epworth Projects record of the amount of projects completed by a group during their time volunteering! We are hoping to finish up all our sites tomorrow for Epworth, and have a fun last day at CRCL Oyster Shell recycling program. Today was filled with tons of games, laughter, and new friends. Today we will be highlighting a special moment of the day and it is brought to you by the one and only Tommy Bo, the foremen on one of our sites, who we often catch saying “Yay!” after good work is done by the NOLA trip members. Tommy invited us to meet his daughter because he says our group is such good people he wants to introduce us to his people! (Tommy can be seen smiling with the group in the 8th picture!) We are so excited and ready for day 8 tomorrow!

DAY 6️⃣
We spent our day on the same sites as yesterday and we got to see the progress really start to take form. One group finished up and the other two made major progress in their projects. We are really starting to understand how to use all the tools and are confident in our skills on the sites! We are starting to really “know the drill”(Tyler Libonate, chaperone)!

DAY 5️⃣ in the books!
Today all three groups went to building sites and begun, continued, or finished working on projects. We had two groups working on ramps and one working on flooring and walls. We all had so much staying positive about our projects and watching the ideas come to life. Our group has been so amazing with their determination and hunger to make a difference. We are halfway through, and despite the exhaustion, we are keeping our spirits high. A quote we are resonating with is “you can do anything with good music and friends!” - Ally Redinger(senior).

DAY 4️⃣
Today was exhausting but so impactful for our own little “krewe”. We took to the street of the city during the parades to pick up recycling and promote the recycling of beads and other throws from the floats. It was hot and we all got some sun on our faces but we had an all around fun day! Thank you to for having us today we loved being able to help and inch away some of the aluminum waste!

-The third group went back to the same house from the day before to finish up their job!
